In brief, JackWidget is a multi-purpose search tool. JackWidget has a search field and a drop-down list with topics to choose from.
The drop-down menu lets you select which site or sites you want to search. Some of the popup choices will send your search to several websites at once.
The simplest way to use it is to select a search from the popup menu and then type in some search terms and hit return. It also supports CLI-style usage, bypassing the popup menu.
JackWidget has over two dozen searches built in, and is infinitely customizable (if you know how to open a widget package and edit XML).
